Compliance Basic Policy

As the sole comprehensive design promotion organization in Japan, our mission is to support people, companies, organizations, and local communities involved in design and to contribute to their development and society so that the role and significance of design will be widely understood in the society. In order to achieve this mission, we recognize that it is fundamental that each of our executives and employees comply with laws and ordinances, social norms, and our employment regulations.
In order to realize fair and appropriate business operations and fulfill our social responsibility, Japan Institute of Design Promotion has established following action guidelines for its officers and employees to commit the compliance awareness.

Action Guidelines

  1. We will comply with all applicable laws and ordinances and contribute to the development of society as a whole with high ethical standards.
  2. We will not discriminate or violate human rights on the basis of gender, nationality, race, religion, social status, etc.
  3. We will treat stakeholders with sincerity and will not engage in any conflict of interest that could impair fair and appropriate judgment.
  4. We will strictly manage and appropriately handle confidential and personal information obtained through the business. We will not engage in any unauthorized or illegal acts such as falsification of information or unauthorized access.
  5. We will strive to communicate with society. We will disclose corporate information in an appropriate and fair manner.
  6. We recognize that addressing environmental issues is an important task, and we will actively work to preserve the environment.
  7. We will take a firm stand against antisocial forces and groups that threaten the order and safety of civil society, and will not have any relationship with them.
