This time, there two names have been added as new director of Japan institute of Design promotion (JDP). Kohei Nishiyama and Matsutaro Fukumitsu assumed office on April 2 and July 21.

Kohei Nishiyama, to be a representative director of Elephant Design Co., Ltd. located in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, expert committee member of Competitiveness and International standardization by Intellectual property of the Cabinet Office, Global Agenda Council in Innovation and Design member of World Economic Forum, director of International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid), and also served as judge of Good Design Award organized by JDP, he has been working extensively both at home and abroad.

Message from Mr. Nishiyama: “In particular there are three points borne in my mind: Promote internationalization of Good Design Award, Increasing the opportunity for design work by introduction of Design concept related to Intellectual property such as Science, technology or business, Promotion of Design Foreign Affairs connects the creative leaders of Japan and International design organizations and institutions.”

Matsutaro Fukumitsu, to be president and CEO of Fukumitsuya Co., Ltd., located in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, and President of Association of Italo-Giapponese also the Vice Chairman of Kanazawa Association of Corporate Executives; He has been active in a wide range of fields of Design Promotion, cultural activities and economic activity in the city of Kanazawa.
