Yamagata,  the beauty of its natural created a number of industries of culture and tradition. "Yamagata Excellent design" is honoring business of design and manufacturing superior prefecture of Yamagata implemented since 1997. And it has picked out a large number of excellent designs rooted in Yamagata so far.

"Design in the other side of mountain,Yamagata Excellent Design Exhibition" to be held this time, provides us an opportunity to touch the design in various perspectives by holding workshops, talk event and tour.

It is also recommended that the tour which will be held during the period could be a valuable chance to see the field of design and manufacturing in Yamagata.

Tendo Mokko, winner company since Good Design Award established, will carry out production experience of ring stool. In addition, art event like "Michinooku Arts Festival Yamagata Biennale" are also going be held during the period.
