Japan Institute of Design Promotion signed MOU with Thammasat University (Thailand), Industrial Technology Graduate University (Japan), Asia Professional Education Network of (APEN) on November 12, towards the establishment of high-quality human resources development Organization in Asia which named as Institute of Design and Innovation(AIDI).

In the Asian region, including Japan, the vocational ability evaluation system of professionals based on industry needs and requirement of human resource development program have been advocated. Then a career rank system established in 2010. In June 2010, we created the industrial design field skill standard in combination with Tokyo Metropolitan and Advanced institute of Industrial Technology.

To advance this promotion further in the Industrial Technology Graduate University,as a highly industrial human resources development approach, they developed the PBL (Project Based Learning)type education. Then APEN, an international network organization for highly specialized craftsmen resource development which aims to spread to Asia established in June, 2011. As an approach to higher education institutions of providing educational services and diverse pluralistic lifelong to professionals, they raised a concept of Multiversity.

AIDI, as a part of complete the concept of Multiversity is intended to be deployed to the ASEAN countries in the future considered as a model case which carried out in Thammasat University. By the opportunity of sign a MOU with AIDI, Deputy Minister of Thailand Ministry of Education carried out a report on the activates of AIDI,in addition to request of assistance for activities in the future, we received consented willingly.

In addition to providing assistance to the establishment of AIDI, JDP will continue the contribution to future designer training for industry needs in Asian region.
