Design Excellence Award Thailand (DE Award) held by Department of Commerce Trade Promotion Authority (DITP) has announced the winners on July 4.

For this year’s Design Excellence Award, submission was carried out from March 5 to April 30; it received totally 455 entries in 6 categories including the "graphic", a newly established category from this year. The actual screening was conducted on June 12 and 13 at Crystal Design Center in Bangkok. And finally, 72 of them were awarded.

Signed a cooperation agreement with DITP from 2008, Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP) has supported the establishment of this design award overall,winner of DE Award are also able to participate Good Design Award (Japan) from the secondary screening with exemption of the first screening. Interior designer, Hisae Igarashi and Graphic designer Kei Matsushita, both the jury of Good Design Award also joined the DE screening.   

DE winners those participate the Good Design Award; the result will be released at October 1 as other applicants. And those winners will also be exhibited at “Good Design Exhibition” during October 30 to November 4.
