JDP has been cooperated with the Department of Commerce in Thailand since 2008, supporting the establishment of a "Design Excellence Award" Design Award of Thailand.Awarded design could participate from secondary screening of Good Design Award, for now, there has 273 design been awarded as Good Design.

As the sixth year, a new department “Graphic design” was been added as one of the categories which also including furniture, lifestyle products, industrial products, packaging, and fashion. In accordance with the application for this new category, a design seminar was carried out on March 14 by Mr. Kei Matsushita who also is a Graphic designer, Art Director and Good Design Jury.

After the press conference, Mr. Matsushita introduced some representative Good Design of graphic design in Japan presently. By described those graphic designs which are utilized in products and contents also awarded as Good Design in recent years, this seminar received high interest from graphic designers or students in Thailand. A panel discussion was carried out by a prominent Thai Graphic Designers as the end of the seminar.

The deadline of DE award is by the end of April, then a screening will be hold by the mid of June. For those designs awarded with DE Award, could participate in Good Design without the first screening. Awarded design will be announced at October and exhibited in Japan.
