The Grand Award of Tokyo Business Design Award was decided on Jan. 29 by public presentation carried out in Tokyo Midtown Conference.

This Award is organized by Tokyo Metropolitan, and operated by JDP. Through this new type of Design Competition, combine with “Technology” and “Material” from SMEs in Tokyo, Designers aim to proposal the overall business and its development of new application. This is also an experiment to connect SMEs to those designers who hold the abilities of produce.

11 groups awarded by “Theme Award” at the first stage carried out their public presentation. Then juries decided one Grand Award and two Excellent Award. The winners received their Commendation certificates and also One million or 200 thousands yen prize from Tokyo Metropolitan as development foundation

The Second Tokyo Business Design Award 2013 will start at May.
