Good Design Award exhibited in Hong Kong Business of Design Week
Japan Institute of Design Promotion held an exhibition on the theme of Good Design in “Business of Design Week (BODW)” during Dec 6 to 8 in Hong Kong. This exhibition, intended to improve the presence of the Good Design Award in the Asian region, exhibited 40 typical awards in the main section of the fair, Inno Design Tech EXPO (IDTExpo).
Specially, this exhibition not only introduced Japan’s awarded company but also awards from other Asia countries such as Taiwan, Korea, Thailand. We were able to introduce the history of Good Design Award, and through those awarded products from different country and region, successfully attracted many attentions from visitors all around the world.
BODW organized by Hong Kong Design Center, it is the largest Design Fair theme on branding in Asia. Every year, it is known as a partner country by setting a specific country in the world, partner country of the year 2012 was Denmark. During the period a number of designers and business leaders from all over the world will gather together, and carry out series events such as exhibition, forum, education program, networking party and so forth.
JDP has been participated in BODW since 2010, especially in 2010, Japan participated as partner country. (http://www.jidp.or.jp/activity/bodw2010/)In addition, as part of reconstruction for the Great East Japan Earthquake, the exhibited products from those affected area attracted many attentions. However, this is the first time to exhibit on a main theme of Good Design in Hong Kong.
