“Tokyo Business Design Award”, a new design competition which aims at creating new business collaboration manufacturing SMEs with designers, announced the theme for design proposals on August 1.

Include technology and materials by SMEs in Tokyo, 15 themes were published on website, period from today until October 19, ideas for new products and proposed development plan on those themes will be recruited form designers.

Call for Proposals from Designers: August 1 ~ 19

Eligibility: People who can apply for this award should have satisfied all following conditions .

1 Individual or group residing in the country relate to design(Applicants jointly acceptable)。
 2 Participants who pass through the secondary screening, can also participate in the final review(Public Presentation Screening).
3 After awarded, it is possible to carry out business received an order theme selection from the company.

Fee: Free (※Only the actual production materials cost borne by applicant)

Award and Prize:Grand Award (1) Extra Prize: 1,000,000yen
                             Excellent Award (2) Extra Prize: 200,000yen for each
                             Theme Award (1 for each Theme)
