First time the Korea represent design award “GOOD DESIGN SELECTION” held their applicants briefing session in Japan Tokyo Midtown tower Design Hub on July 5. GOOD DESIGN SELECTION was established since 1985 by Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), an organization under government of Korea, locally is known as the GD mark.

Nearly 20 manufacturers and designers in Japan attended this session. Asia, plays a role of "growth center" around the world, Design Award of Korea that it is still remarkable achieve extension, Applicants may be able to participant if there is a distribution from Japan in the Korean market. During the session, participants inquired enthusiastic questions.

According to the description from Director of KIDP Park Tae-youl, about the circumstances of the design in South Korea at the beginning, interesting indicators such as the number of students majoring in design and designers has been shown. Incidentally, number of people graduated from design school in Korea is likely about 24,000 in 2007.
