The first screening for Good Design Award 2012 was carried out in Tokyo Midtown Tower on June 20.

Included chairman, Naoto Fukasawa, and vice-chairman, Taku Satoh, 54 judges attended the first screening. At the beginning of screening, chairman Mr.Fukasawa gave a description of this year’s screening new policy. Then, judges divided into each unit and conducted discussions about the contents from the documents read previously of each unit. By prolonged judgment of pass or fail with conduct consultations, each unit made confirm, such as policy towards the examination of actual product in secondary screening.

The primary result of the examination will be notified through the entry site on June 26, only to the applicants.
