GOOD DESIGN Marunouchi will present the exhibition “GOOD DESIGN COLLECTION 1950s–2020s” from June 5 (Fri.) to June 25 (Thu.), 2026.

The exhibition features approximately 80 items selected from the design collection of the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP), including recipients of the GOOD DESIGN AWARD and the Long Life Design Award from the 1950s through the 2020s.

This year marks the 70th edition of the GOOD DESIGN AWARD. Throughout Japan’s postwar industrial development and changing social landscape, countless designs have emerged to enrich everyday life. Many of these designs continue to be cherished across generations.

By revisiting a selection of memorable and iconic works, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on how design has shaped our lives in the past and to consider the role it may play in illuminating the future amid an ever-changing society.
