rom August 2 to 16, 2025, GOOD DESIGN Marunouchi will host “Arternative G, GOOD DESIGN conceived by students of Tokyo University of the Arts”, an exhibition showcasing the works of third-year students from the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai).

To shape the future of GOOD DESIGN, rather than simply enjoy what already exists, young designers must adopt a critical perspective on what is considered “good” today. They are challenged to question conventional values, discover their own sense of what is “good,” and develop the ability to express it in form.

This exhibition presents the outcomes of a project assigned to third-year students at Geidai: “Envision an Alternative GOOD DESIGN.”
We invite you to explore each student’s unique interpretation of “GOOD,” filled with playfulness and bold experimentation.
