The Hong Kong Smart Design Award, launched in 2012, aims to elevate original Hong Kong designs and promote the “Hong Kong Brand” in the global market.

The final judging session for the 2025 edition took place in Hong Kong on March 13–14, with JDP joining the international jury panel.

Entries were categorized into two main groups:

• Corporate Group (commercialized products)

• Conceptual Group (mainly design concepts by students)

Each group featured entries in the following categories:

• Toys & Games (toys, games, baby products, etc.)

• Gifts (corporate novelties, stationery, leisure goods, DIY items, etc.)

• Home & Houseware (kitchenware, wellness products, etc.)

Many submissions reflected Hong Kong’s unique culture and history, leading to in-depth discussions and evaluations over the two-day judging process.
