The Japan Institute of Design Promotion has revealed the winner of the GOOD DESIGN GRAND AWARD 2024, the highest honor among the GOOD DESIGN AWARD. It has been given to “RESILIENCE PLAYGROUND PROJECT,” which has created play equipment on which anyone can play and have fun regardless of disability. The theme of this year’s GOOD DESIGN AWARD was “Brave Attitude, Organic Design,” and this entry was selected from among the 1,579 winners as a symbol of design in today's society as well as of the potential of design in the society of the future. In addition, “Our Favorite G Mark”* an event which was launched this year to choose a winner by popular vote, went to Fukagawa Enmichi (Multi-generational welfare facility complex).
