The World Design Organization (WDO) hosted the World Design Assembly Tokyo 2023 Secretariat (Representative Organization: Japan Institute of Design Promotion) held the World Design Assembly Tokyo 2023 from October 27 to 29.

The conference was held in Japan for the first time in 34 years, and under the theme "DESIGN BEYOND," 192 design professionals from 32 countries and regions were gathered for three days. A wide range of professionals, including ecologists, engineers, communicators, scientists, and technologists, were also present. Discussions were held for three days to explore the new roles and possibilities of design.
