The Japan Institute of Design Promotion cooperated with the 21st India Design Summit organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), an organization of Indian companies, as the anchor of the partner country. This event has been held since 2001 to promote the importance of design throughout the industry and to encourage the incorporation of design into business management by leveraging the strength of the CII as a federation of companies. This year's theme was "Design for Circular Economy" and the event was held from December 8 to 10 (exhibition only until December 25).

On this occasion, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CII for mutual cooperation in design promotion. We also held bilateral sessions with speakers from Japan and India, and a virtual exhibition. At the opening ceremony, we received a video message from Mr. Noriyoshi Fukuoka, Director of Southwest Asia Office, Trade Policy Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
