"Chiang Mai Design Week (CMDW)" was held from December 3rd to 11th, which will conduct exhibitions and talk events at various locations in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
During the weekend from December 9th to 11th, speakers from all over the world had been invited as "International Conference". In cooperation with the event organizer Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) and JDP, Ms. Ricca Tezuchi and Mr. Toru Iwasa, the judges of Good Design Award gave a presentation. Also, Good Design Store Bangkok exhibited this year's award winning items at the booth.
Speakers with various backgrounds offered various topics each day, from Netherlands, Italy, Australia, America, Singapore, Denmark and Thailand. The venue was an auditorium of a local vocational college, and the audience with various backgrounds such as local students, general people who came from various parts of Thailand such as Bangkok, tourists. The event have been successfully completed.
We will continue to collaborate closely with TCDC and work on promoting design in Thailand and Japan.

After the exhibition in Chiang Mai, we had opened an exhibition introducing the award winners of Good Design Award 2016 at a gallery space of GOOD DESIGN STORE Bangkok. On December 12th, the first day of the exhibition, in addition to Ms. Tezuchi and Mr. Iwasa who finished their presentation in Chiang Mai, Mr. Eggarat Wongcharit, who is a Thai designer, DE Mark & Good Design Award judge, was invited to the opening reception. Those who won the Good Design Award from Thailand also gathered, and was praised each other's winning in a peaceful atmosphere.

The award-winning exhibition in Bangkok will be held until mid-January 2017, please drop in when you happen to be in the neighborhood.
