JDP concluded MOU with Design and Crafts Council of Ireland
As of May 21, 2015, JDP concluded Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) about mutual cooperation regarding design promotion and exchanges with Design and Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI).
At the sign ceremony of MOU, Her Excellency Ms. Anne Barrington, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to Japan kindly visited JDP as the witness of DCCoI and Mr. Kazunori Iizuka, the president signed as the representative of JDP.
DCCoI is headquartered in Kilkenny and fostering growth and commercial strength of Irish design and craft industry. They currently have over 75 member organizations and over 2,800 registered clients.
For 2015, as the Action Plan by Irish Government, the program “Irish Design 2015 (ID2015)” was ratified. It aims to promote and celebrate Irish design and designers throughout events and activities both in Ireland and international capitals of design and commerce. DCCoI has been assigned as the organizer of the project.
JDP and DCCoI has agreed to cooperate in promotion of ID2015 in Japan and any opportunity to promote Japan design in Ireland in the future.
