At the serious earthquake disasters : Message from JDP [Mar 18, 2011]
While offering our deepest condolences to the deceased due to the recent Earthquake, we truly hope those who have been afflicted and those related to the victims to accept our sincere words of sympathy at this most challenging time.
We pray for the safety of the people having supported our projects including the Good Design Award as well as of those engaged in the design industry while wishing the most swift and speedy recovery of the afflicted areas.
To people overseas
The Great East Japan Earthquake which occurred on March 11th has been causing disastrous damages especially in the Tohoku district but as well as in the North Kanto district. Although Tokyo, the location of JDP, has been experiencing traffic disturbances and daily electric power interruption, people here have no trouble with clothing, food and housing in their daily life.
All staff members of our association are also safe.
Although the situations surrounding us are still unpredictable due to such accidents as at the nuclear energy plants and others, we are determined to continue our everyday efforts to brighten Japan, now confronting unprecedented situations, with the power of design.
We would like to highly appreciate your future help and support in advance.
